  • 1.  Interaction Concentrator - DN Registration on Connection change

    Hi,
    Could you clarify how Interaction concentrator handles connection changes to Tservers.

    If a Tserver is renamed (as part of a host move) will it register all the DNs configured as part of the disconnection removal and connection add to the application.

    NOTE:  Version relates to question 8.1.000.19.

    Hi Sue,
    I had one of our experts review this.  With your version of ICON, you should need to restart in order to register the changes with the application name.  Starting with the 8.1.000.24 release, ICON better handles this type of change dynamically.  During this change however, the connection will close and once re-established it will need to re-register all of the DNs in the configuration.

    Hi Neil, thank you for checking this and the explanation.
    I'll take a quick look at the next release to review what schema changes would be involved as a possible alternative to restarting the solution.
