  • 1.  External Authentication via RADIUS

    Posted 06-13-2017 06:40
    Hi,

We already have LDAP for external authentication in our Genesys environment(Multi Tenant).
Now, our customers want external authetication as RADIUS for a new Tenant.

Please help me get the below info:

    1. Do we have to install new Config Server and deploy RADIUS while installing?
2.OR, can we just install Config Server Proxy and deploy RADIUS while installing?
3.Or, can we just add any section(like authentication) in CME for the same?

Please suggest if otherwise or any other alternative.

    Thanks in Advance.

    Regards,
    Kavya

    You can add a section to handle ldap and radius in confserv.cfg file. It should be explained in the framework deployment guide. If I recall correctly, you could have;
    [authentication] library=gauth_radius, gauth_ldap

    Hi,

    Thanks!

But, can the RADIUS be enabled just by adding the Authentication Section in the Config Server/Proxy without it being deployed initially during the installation of atleast Master Config Server (although LDAP is already enabled for other tenants)?

(Please refer Pg no 8 & 33 in Ext Authentication Book 8.5.1)

Beacuse I can find this below pre requisites in the Ext Authentication Guide 8.5.1:

Prerequisites (Pg No 21 in Ext Authentication Book 8.5.1)
    • RADIUS is installed on the Master Configuration Server.
    • The servers configuration file contains all of the servers listed in radiusclient.conf.

    Please help.

    Regards,
