I am having several issues w/ a pulse plugin/pulse collector 8.5.x install. First, after starting up collector, I see this error in the log:

"Error: Pulse Application ID could not be discovered for CfgServer application DBID(168). Database will not be polled."

Is this something that needs to be addressed or can it be ignored?

Second, more serious issue. I installed the pulse plugin (85.010.12b1) using GAX and when restarted - GAX won't start. I remove the jars - GAX starts up. GAX version 8.5.000.68 and Collector version (85.010.10b1).

I have successfully installed this suite before (8.5.000.52, 8.5.00015 gax, collector resp.). So, I am stumped. Thanks.

You may try to add pulse collector to GAX connections.

Just remove the application_id option value, I think you have set it to 168.

restart your GAX before starting collector.

you need to add a section in Pulse_DAP with name GAX and within it add section role with value Pulse. Also in pulse collector put '0' in place of applicaiton id. Hope this will resolve. 

I had this same issue. Stopping the collector and GAX then starting GAX BEFORE the collector resolved the issue for me. (Thanks Koven Zhang!)

I have solved this problem.

to see if there is an error that "Configuration of Pulse plugin is invalid. Stop initialization",In the GAX log.  
if that is yes,then to add connection from the GAX application to the EZPulse Collector application

 

If you see "Database will not be polled" , its better to check dap for jdbc.
