  • 1.  Site Groups WAN Requirements

    Hi all,
can someone help me with the next question:

    What are the minimum requirements of the WAN communication channel (at the level of latency, Jitter, Packet loss, BW, etc.)
    that are needed so that a Site Group can be formed and remain active, which is composed of two geographically separated
    sites and share the same PSTN provider as shown in this image. Each site has two Edge appliances in redundant configuration N + 1.

    
 
On page 6 of the Genesys document PC_CommunicateTraining_CustomerNetworkReadiness.pdf is this explanation that is highlighted but remains very open and does not define specific values.

    Hi Diego

    Have you looked at page 23 in the PDF? There's a really good description of latency and why is hard to give fixed a number.

    The question is:
    What are the minimum requirements in the WAN channel that I must guarantee to be able to maintain the Edge Appliances Clustering according to the attached diagram.

    If you deploy the Edge appliances on different LAN network segments within the site:
    • The maximum network latency between the appliances is 10 ms.
    • The traffic has less than 1 ms of packet jitter.
    • All network ports between the devices are open.
    • The available bandwidth between the devices supports your maximum number of simultaneous calls.
