    Hello,

    Can anyone explain to me what exactly means this value below ?


    Is it possible to change this value from PureCloud interface ? Where can I find it ?

    Hi Charaf

    It means that if you configure a phone trunk for VoIP phones then UDP ports from 4000 to 65535 has to be accessible between the phone and the Edge. A port for the media stream is negotiated at the beginning of each call.

    This port range might be configurable in the Custom section of the phone trunk setup, but since the documentation on that is non-existent you would probably need to raise a support ticket to Genesys for that information.

    The IP protocol has 16 bits reserved for port assignments. That gives a port range of 0-65535.

    When the documentation states port 4000+ that means everything from 4000 to the top of the range which is 65535 :)
