ICWS API and Custom Client

    Hello,

    We are in the early stages of building a custom client using ICWS. One of our developers has a couple questions and I'm hoping someone may be able to help us out. 

    What we have working is the agent can login to the IC server and establish a session. We can then allow the agent to set their status to Available.

    The first issue we're running into is which API or how can we get the Interaction ID of an alerting ACD workgroup call or how can we alert the agent that they have a call to pick-up?

    Also, how often/quickly can we poll or check messages? 3 seconds, etc?

    Any help or suggestions from those that have used ICWS in similar fashion is greatly appreciated.
