    Good Afternoon,

Spinning up a new Development Server, and I've run into an issue with certificates.  I'm sure I'm overlooking something ridiculously, however I've been racking my brain over it.

During Installation we receive an error stating that there is was an error generating the server certificates, and that a workaround is to run everyone's favorite GenSSLCertsU.exe with the -s option.

Doing this however, just generates the below:
    Error creating Server Group certificate:
    ErrorCode: error.i3certificates.filesystem.open.write
Description: Error saving cluster certificate information.
    Hostname: -------
    Function: iccertificates::ICCertficate::set_certificate_information()
    File(Line): //eic/2018r2_p00/products/EIC/Src/ICCertificates/ICCertificatesAPI/iccertificatesapi.cpp#1(3800)
    Parameters:

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

You are the second person in as many days with a certificate error during an install or upgrade. I'm wondering if a certificate expired somewhere.

    What version did you install?

    PureConnect 2018R2 on Server 2016.
Licenses generated last week and servers were created 2-3 weeks ago.

Turns out that the .xml file for the Certificates was being placed in the wrong path, modified it in the environment variables and all is good...

Hi guys we are trying to use SHA 256 or TLS1.2 for PCI audit on our CIC 2018 R2 Patch5 but seems that the web tools are not liking it so the chat functionality is not working.

We are seing http Error 502.3 bad gateway.

are we overlooking anything on the IIS (v7) server or we need to regenerate certificates can you provide some direction.

Thanks in advanced for reading my questions/doubts.

Have you imported the server group certificate from the IC server as a trusted root CA on the reverse proxy? Login to the reverse proxy, and browse to the following URL:

    https://<ic_server>:3508/WebSvcs/serverConfiguration

If you get a warning about the connection not being secure, then that's the issue.
