Rodrigo joined Genesys in 9 months ago in April 2021 and is a Core Instructor. He has been in the Telecom industry for 4 years and has taught almost his entire life. Teaching is one of Rodrigo's passions. His first ever student was a friend of his that was struggling with math. From then, it's been 15 years that he has had teaching involved in his life. Rodrigo worked as a Math and Physics Tutor, during his graduation years and was a TA in 3 opportunities. He volunteered as a math teacher for 2 years while working in the Telco industry. Rodrigo currently teaches Genesys Cloud Core Courses in the Americas. He teaches Genesys Cloud Implementation, Genesys Cloud Contact Center Administration, Genesys Cloud Reporting and Analytics. He has certifications in all other Genesys Cloud courses and is looking forward to teaching Genesys Cloud Architect, Genesys Cloud API, and Genesys Cloud Workforce Management later in the year.
Rodrigo holds a master's degree in Telecom Engineering, for optical communications. He has been working for 3 years directly with Customer Experience and has an MBA to help companies implement best practices of CX. Rodrigo's specialization is to learn fast and teach people about what they need to learn. He really enjoys the challenge of a totally fresh topic to learn and study, then building a cohesive line of thinking to explain what he learned to his students.
Rodrigo enjoys teaching all the core classes, but especially day one of Contact Center Administration where he explains the foundations of skill-based routing (Automatic Call Distribution – ACD). It is always a different approach because the industry we find on the classes are different. He likes being able to talk on multichannel communications not only over voice interactions.
Rodrigo is a big fan of motorsports, mainly Formula 1, due to the GOAT Aryton Senna. He also likes watching NFL with his fiancé as well. They are Seattle Seahawks fans. Other than sports, he really loves the seventh art; not being able to go to the movies for me was the worst part about the pandemic. He is that kind of person that watches all "Oscar Nominated" movies and participate in pools to guess who are going to be the winners. Fun fact, he has watch more than 200 of the 250 IMDb best movies list in one year. This was back in 2014 when he was doing his exchange program in US and took a class in Film History and Appreciation.
Rodrigo has not been on a vacation in 5 years. He says that any place his loved ones are is the best vacation. The best vacations are made of memories, and memories usually are made with people.
Rodrigo is currently based in Brazil (over here is with "s" - Brasil). Due to the pandemic, he has not been to the Genesys office, but is looking forward to doing this soon. Brasil is an awesome country full of diversity, amazing food, nice music, and with the most charismatic and welcoming people on Earth. Although Brasil is famous for football and Samba, their history and culture go far beyond that. Rodrigo invites you to visit! If you do so don't miss the amazing Pão de Queijo, the most famous dish from his home state.
