Thanks for your thoughts Kevin.
We were banking on the Citrix certified solution from Genesys but unfortunately they have only developed something for a Windows or Linux endpoint. Seems a waste to have to replace 100+ working Wyse thin clients but we are investigating all options now; new compatible thin client, bring-your-one-device and with a USB boot, even an IP phone but all require a different Citrix server setups, a full POC and of course additional costs. Will update post with the solution we end up with.

Subject: How to get Softphone to work on Wyse ThinOS
Davide,
We don't use thin clients for Genesys use, (but do use Citrix for some other apps).
We have several hundred work from home agents, but they are running Win10 on laptops that are locked down like USP Florence ADMAX Federal penitentiary.
Dell does a lot of work with software providers, I am surprised that they haven't pushed Genesys on this.
All of the workarounds I can think of add just another layer of support in. Such as forwarding to a Google number (Poly - result of Plantronics' buying Polycom has Obihai Technology which supports Google Enterprise) mean big changes for you.

I must assume from the lack of responses that no one is using a Wyse thin clients as an end point.
Has anyone successfully used any type of thin client? Is anyone using work from home agents using Genesys PureEngageCloud? I'd be interested in what you are using and how successful it has been.
Genesys has suggested we look at CounterPath's solution for VDI softphones; has any one used this and want to share your experiences?

Has anyone dealt with running the Genesys softphone in a Citrix and true 'thin client' environment? The thin clients in currently in use run a Wyse ThinOS for all work from home agents. They have work great for the Avaya OneX client in the past but now converted to Genesys need to find a way to get the Genesys softphone to work. Genesys has recently released a VDI adapter for Windows and eLux OS but makes no mention of the Wyse ThinOS (which is the most common OS for thin clients).
Would like to hear if anyone has found a way to use these thin clients. Any advise or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
