    Hi all

Has anyone gone to any of the Genesys Xperience conferences? We're looking at possibly going to the one this year, but we have to make a business case for it.
     - Biggest factor is to look at cost, since hotel and conference are in USD. ( Canadian = about 76 cents per USD)

Looking for your thoughts on what you took away and if anyone is going this year

    Thanks for your input!

Sorry if this isn't in the right forum, but want to connect with similar users of the platform

    Hey Monique -

    That's a great question!

Can you please share some of your business goals or problems you'd like to solve (if you're willing/able to share)?

For example, some attendees come because they want to understand new ways to integrate their solutions into our platform. We run a DevOps/DevCon event concurrently with the experience event (we did last year, I still need to confirm for this year). Customers and partners have an opportunity to talk directly with developers and our app marketplace (AppFoundry) specialists to figure out strategic, high-value integration points...

And some customers/partners come to showcase the integrations they've built; some customers come to talk with partners to find out how they can solve problems together. It's pretty neat.

Again, just an example...but if you can tell me some business goals, I can explain whether/how this event can help you achieve them. If attending this event leads to helping your team solve a high-value problem, it might be easier to justify the expense.

*I'm a Genesys employee from the AppFoundry's developer support team who attended the event last year and in subsequent years. It's a fun/educational event, so I hope you can make it. It's nice seeing people we work with (internally and externally) face-to-face.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ali

The DevOps is the stream that I am most interested in, but my Customer Service Manager wants to do the business side breakouts.
@Bethany Han has also replied (thanks!) and that was helpful.

This is seen as an investment towards growing our coustomer experience journey, along with networking amongst our peers. ( I wish Canadian dollars was taken at par for the conference fees, even with being a GCAP member)

    Hi Monique,

I didn't have the opportunity to go last year but I did attend CX18.  I found it really valuable.  I did the DevCon track, and got a lot of great information out of the breakout sessions and had a chance to ask questions.

It was also good to have a chance to talk to partners in person and ask them about their experience specifically with PureEngage Cloud.

    Hope that's helpful to you!

I hope to go as well but will need to really justify the expenses and time:

One big goal at FCA this year is to add a lot of self service into the Customer Experience, which will include AI, Speech bots, Natural Language Recognition, Natural Language Processing as well Speech Analytics.  Will any of these be in focus for the year's event?

Note: I am only interested in what we can do with PureEngage Cloud.  I hear a lot of "yes you can do that" or "we have those features" but on further investigation it turns out it's an on-premise feature or solution and on the roadmap for Cloud.  Plus I am interested in how we can access, develop and troubleshoot more of these features with my own team's development work and not having to engage PS - nothing against PS but we want to be able to adapt to situations on the fly and not have to create an SOW and PS project each time.

Thanks...looking forward to a detailed agent for the event - hopefully before the early-bird deal expires.
