  • 1.  GAX 9.0 deployment concerns

    Team,

    We installed the gax 9.0 application. (Before gax, we have installed the genesys Local control agent and then installed the java application.1.8)

    After installed the gax application, it installed successfully. And then we start up the gax using windows batch file.

    Its gets loaded. And then at the last lines it shows, ASD initialized.
    Then we load the gax .
    http://localhost:8080/gax. And then successfully loaded,. And then we logged in.

    And then we enter root as username and then we login to the application.

    Then we choose existing deployment. And successfully completed the process.

    Concern faced:
     1.In the gax log, It shows error there is no connection to the ms server.
    No ms server found.

    But the gax application get loaded, And working successfully.

    2.And in the log, we also found the auditing is disabled. And auditing is false. (whether we need to change the option).

    3.And in the gax application, under configuration for each option for example.
    Under roles,
    When we select there is a folder called configunit2 and then roles. (Inside configuni2 folder the values were empty)
    Similarly configunit2 for all other configuration option in the gax application.

    4.And in the log we also found, Gax starts with arguments null..

    Please provide your valuable suggestion for the concern mentioned.

    After installation of the gax, When we change the command line arguments to the services, but the gax application were not getting started.
    So we uninstall the gax and then we have reinstalled the gax application.
    Whether it will be problem for configunit2 folder. Inside this folder, the values were empty.

    Sorry for the new config folder concern. The config2 folder is available  in cme.

    Now the concern is, the following message were found in gax logs.

    1. No ms server found message  in gax logs.
    2.Audit feature is disabled message  found  in gax logs.

    But the gax application were working  fine.

    Hi Anandapriyan,
                     The deployment steps stated in the guide are right steps only and its been used by many customers often. In any case if you find any issues , customers can log the issue in the respective dedicated log tool of yours and the concern team from Customer Care will take care and resolve it. In case if its an issue in the component it will be directed to Engineering and as per the process it will be addressed by the team. Documentation team cannot handle pure technical issues as you have stated and these needs to be addressed technically. 
    Configunit2 would have been part of your CS . This is a kind of folder - of type Site or Configuration Unit. And the output you have mentioned  is the expected result only. 
    1. No msg server found message  in gax logs. - Your GAX application object connection would have had any Msg Server,  but msg server might not be up and running . and not an issue with GAX.

    2.Audit feature is disabled message  found  in gax logs. - By default Audit is disabled and nothing wrong in this msg.

    Yes, Thanks for useful reply. The doubts have been clarified by your helpful suggestions. Yes the config2 folder already available in the cme. And the error messages appears such as  message server connection  and audit feature disabled,  I will check based on your suggestions.
