    Hello Anandapriyan,

GI2 is being replaced with a new historical reporting product, Genesys Customer Experience Insights (Genesys CX Insights or GCXI). Product Management shared the following migration guidelines. If you find this information useful, we will consider adding it to product documentation.

    Migration Responsibilities:

    Genesys Side

    • Migration means re-creation of all the reporting in GCXI. GCXI is built on top of MicroStrategy Analytics platform.
    • Genesys owns the creation of all the GI2 OOTB reports and porting them to GCXI.
    • Licensing of GCXI is entitled for the seats purchased with GI2. After customers get the GCXI licenses, any Add-ons will be based on the GCXI sellable item.

    Customer Side

    • Custom Reports in GI2 will be the customers' responsibility to migrate (re-create) to the GCXI platform. If needed, customers should engage/work with Genesys Professional Services to migrate/create the corresponding custom reports in GCXI.
    • Required documentation is provided on Genesys documentation site (https://docs.genesys.com/Documentation/GCXI).
    • Customers can run the GI2 and GCXI in parallel for smooth transition to GCXI.

    Limitations:

    • Custom reports built in the old GI2 platform will not be migrated. These custom GI2 reports need to be re-created in GCXI.
    • GI2 Users cannot be moved automatically to the GCXI platform. The users need to be re-created in GCXI.
    • Schedules cannot be moved automatically from GI2 to GCXI. The schedules need to be re-created in GCXI.

Genesys recommends following these steps after GCXI installation:

    1. Verify Out-of-the-box Reporting: Verify that all out-of-the-box (OOTB) reports are working fine with no errors.
    2. Testing OOTB GI2 vs. GCXI: Pick a few key reports and run/execute those reports in GI2 and GCXI with the same parameters/prompts. Compare the reporting data.
This exercise will verify that GCXI reports generate accurate data (which you have been seeing in GI2). If you find any discrepancies during this exercise, please open a ticket with Genesys Customer Care and include complete details.
    1. Validate the Data Access Restrictions (If enabled):  Data access restrictions work the same way in GI2 and GCXI. If data access restriction is enabled in GCXI for the customer, then it will work the same way as in GI2. You can test it and if you find any issues, please open a ticket with Customer Care.
    2. Custom Report Development: Customers can re-create the key GI2 custom reports in GCXI and test them. For customization instructions, please refer to: https://docs.genesys.com/Documentation/GCXI/9.0.0/User/HRCXICustomizing

    Best Regards,
