  • 1.  Cassandra start, stop and restart from SCI

    Hello,

    Might some one already did it.

    External Cassandra application (Third Party Application) has been created in CME. Monitor that application through SCI and following action need to perform Start, stop and restart. I have written shell script for start and stop Cassandra unluckily that is not worked. So can some one share shell script 

    Application Annx tap below section are created 
    start_command
    stop_Command and
    restart_command

    Environment Details:
    ----------------------------
    OS: RHEL 7
    Cassandra version:2.0

    Hi Lakshmanakumar ,

    i don't have it but usually the main issues is the user permissions , make sure that the use which you have used to run the LCA has the needed OS 
    permissions

    Lakshmanakumar,

    Have you tried systemd commands?  They'd be very simple once you've integrated Cassandra into your RHEL7 host and it would allow Cassandra to restart when the system is restarted as well, just like any other service.

    Just use the cmd:

    /path_to_the_cassandra_folder/bin/cassandra -d

    Just an update - There is an official Knowledge Base Article (#000079638) about how to do this. 

    Genesys created a 'CassandraStarter' application that wraps around the Cassandra application.

    Does this solution work for Cassandra 4.1 too? Or do we need to use CommonsDaemon. If so the link to CommonsDaemon returns 403 and search for the term result in just the Cassandra article.
