Thank you in advance for your inputs. We have a customer question regarding Widgets App. 
1. Why the Widget does not get the JSessionId in the cookie?
2. When creating the chat session, is it the GMS that generates this JSessionId?

I think a JSessionId only comes into play if the a load balancer is used in front of GMS and the widgets are using the Chat v2 protocol with CometD.  Using CometD requires sticky sessions (https://docs.genesys.com/Documentation/GMS/8.5.2/Deployment/ConfiguringDigitalChannels).  It would be the GMS load balancer that creates the sticky session JSessionId, not the GMS nodes themselves.
