Is it possible to transfer the call from a GIA Application to a Routing Point?

  • 1.  Is it possible to transfer the call from a GIA Application to a Routing Point?

    Posted 10-23-2019 10:01
    Hello,

    Is it possible to transfer the call from a GIA Application to a Routing Point?

    I tried to add a Phone Block to my GIA Application with the following syntax in Transfer Details:

    -- sip:12003@10.166.20.126

    Is this the correct syntax?

    From MCP logs:

    Yes, it is possible.  Did your original call come from a SIP Server, or some other SIP respondent?

    Hello,
    Thanks for the reply.

    Yes the call comes from a SIPServer.

    1. sip-phone: (3900@10.166.17.41:5060 -- DN@SipServerAG:Port) calls the Routing Point 18638;
    2. routing point: (18638) --> routing strategy that TRoute the call on 12002@10.166.20.126:5060 -- RP@SipServerGIA:Port);
    3. routing point: (12002) --> routing strategy that Play GIA Application;

    I am trying to route the call from GIA application to routing point 12003 on SipServerGIA ( -- sip:12003@10.166.20.126 -- syntax in Transfer Details Tab in Phone Block)

    Thanks a lot,

    Is this the correct way to indicate the transfer to the routing point 12003?

    Thanks,

    In GIA, I send a numeric (can't be alphanumeric) transfer using a phone block.  If the SIP server you're transferring it to has a routing point that matches, it'll invoke router on INVITE or REFER.

    Hi Ivan,
    so, in my specific case, what would you write in my phone block?

    I'm using: sip:12003@10.166.20.126:5060

    If I try to insert only: 12003, GUI reports error: "Not a valid phone number ..."

    Carmine,

    I don't know what your call flow looks like.  I do know that the transfer block doesn't like alphabetic characters at all.  I might try using 12003@10.166.20.126:5060 instead of sip:12003@10.166.20.126:5060 and see if it will take that.

    Thanks for helping Ivan,

    but I have already tried 12003@10.166.20.126:5060 instead of sip:12003@10.166.20.126:5060 without any success.

    I suppose it's something else that prevents the transfer.

    Thanks a lot,

    Carmine,

    When I did it, I simply did a blind xfer (refer) back to my initiating SIP Server.  I didn't have to pass it anything but the number I was sending the REFER to.

    Thanks again for helping Ivan,

    I suppose the problem is not telephone blocking but something else.

    Hi,

    check the black/whitelist for "phone numbers" in tab Administration->Phone Numbers. There are default settings but you should adapt those to your needs. There are different rulesets defined and one of them is assigned to your "Company" in Administration->Companies->your company->Allowed Phone Numbers.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

    I share the solution identified:

    1. Created TK_SIP_To_RM with contact = <ipaddress_RM:port_RM>

    2. Used sip: 12003@10.166.20.126: 5060 as Destination value in Transfer Details tab (Transfer Block).

    3. Used Blind as Transfer Mode Value in Preferences tab (Transfer Block).
