I'm not sure why Genesys would say that. I'll have to review the documentation again. However, I don't use any of the Callback features, etc. Just for our IVR and Virtual Hold use SSG to make out-dial calls. So this may depend on which SSG features you're using.
Just fetch the root page and look for a '200 OK' response.

yes, I also thought using LB but according to Genesys' Feedback - it's not recommended solution.
So I'm considering a shell script that will be verifying continuously the statuses of both SSG instances but the trigger applic. will also have to be developed und updated - so it's a bit weak solution.
