    Latitude Community,
Please find attached an announcement from Genesys regarding End of Sale for Perpetual Licenses across the entire suite of Genesys products and platforms.  This includes Latitude by Genesys.
Executive Summary of Announcement for Latitude:

Effective February 1, 2022 Genesys will offer only subscription licensing for on-premises deployments of Latitude by Genesys. Perpetual licenses will no longer be offered.  End of Sale for Perpetual Licenses of Latitude by Genesys will conclude January 31, 2022.

    • Customers who have purchased perpetual licenses for Latitude by Genesys still will be able to use these products after February 1, 2022 at licensed capacities.
    • Customers may renew maintenance contracts for perpetual licenses to continue receiving support for and updates to Latitude by Genesys.
    • Customers who need to expand their Latitude by Genesys systems after February 1, 2022 may do so by purchasing additional subscription licenses. There is no need to convert existing perpetual licenses to subscription licenses.
    • Subscription licenses include product use, support, and updates during the subscription period.
    • Subscription licensing also offers a range of premium support and professional services options.
    • Genesys introduced subscription-based licensing for premise products in 2017 to lower up-front cost, allow more favorable accounting treatment, and increase licensing flexibility.
    • For more information on the End of Sales for Perpetual Licensing and migration options, please contact your Genesys account representative.

I'm sure many of you will may have additional questions.  The attachment has several pages of Frequently Asked Questions, so please review it first before reaching out.  As you read the document, you will see that Latitude is called out in a small section, but rest assured, wherever you see MultiCloud CX or PureConnect, you can insert "Latitude" and the results are the same.  The document goes into the business rationale for this decision as well.  We think this decision should not negatively impact any of our Perpetual customers and there will be no change to our existing terms and contracts.

As usual, we want to keep the lines of communication open. If you would like to speak with Ian Winder or myself, please feel free to reach out.
