  • 1.  Provisionning configurations

    Hello,

     

    We use Polycom VVX 311 phones. When provisonned with purecloud, the message center on the phone is enabled by defaut. I can change this configuration directly on the phone to disable it in order that when the user hits the vm button on the phone, it directly dials the *86 to get to voicemail instead of going into the message center and click on connect. How do I push this configuration out thru purecloud without manually going on each phones ?

    The default configuration should be setup to dial *86. So, your best bet would be to contact PureCloud Customer Care (https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/contact-purecloud-care/) and ask for more specific assistance.

    One of our Developers provided me with this additional information that might be of assistance to you:

     

    "I think that the *86 setting actually comes from voicemailpolicy, so you could check if 'voicemailExtension' is set for the organization - I have seen reports where this has not been set by default."

    Unfortunately, this is not something that you can set in the PureCloud user interface. This is something that you access through the API.

     

    If that is is not something that you are familiar with, then your best bet is to contact PureCloud Customer Care.
