I want to know if this statement is correct..?

A customer buy 20 User PureCloud 2 (Contact Center) licenses 1 year prepaid.

The customer has 250 internal users.

 

The 250 internal users can use Purecloud Collaborate for free?

When we synced up an user from AD to PureCloud, it automatically assigned employee role and Collaborate license.  Is there a cost to that user?  Or cost incurs when the user logins to PureCloud?

Its my understanding that if the user logs into Purecloud then they will be charged the communicate license fee.

But if the users don't log in as they come across from your AD server then no fee will apply.

Collaborate license cost varies by subscription/contract these days.

The best place to look for the Collaborate license cost is in your quote or contract.

There may or may not be information on the Admin>Subscription page--that depends on whether you are on an Annual Prepay subscription with committed Collaborate users vs. Annual Prepay with no committed Collaborate users, or Month-to-Month with usage vs. Month-to-Month with no Collaborate usage...etc.

The cost is usually 0.00, but not always.

There is no charge until the user logs in and thus uses the license.

We are thinking to load all 2000+ employees into PureCloud and majority of them don't use PureCloud.  We can't prevent them logging into PureCloud because we use SSO and at the same time, we don't want any cost associated with these non PureCloud users. Any suggestions?

If they all have just the Collaborate license, and if the cost of that license is 0.00 under your contract, then they can log in and it will not cost you anything. You will need to verify the cost with your sales rep, I think. I don't know that the line-item was included in your contract.
