We need our own custom reports. The regular reports are not enough. Is there any ready to use API Integration for Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Power BI? This way we could make our own custom reports. We need more detailed reports about interactions and user-status.

Thank you for the answer. This open source project is too much developing for us. Perhaps something good for bigger companies with a lot of it-resources. I hope there will be a better solution in the future.

I did a search on Power BI and this came up, so I'll ad a more recent note...

There's a Resource Center article on how to use the (now) existing scheduled export functionality for a Performance view to a static URL and then pull that into Power BI (if you aren't just going to use the .csv export to pull into Excel):
