  • 1.  OAuth Client Credential - Token Duration

    Posted 02-07-2017 14:57

    Hi all,

It seems that the token for API(OAuth Client Credential) goes expired after a certain time that can be a maximum of 48 hours, If we want to use the API within our Information System, we should have a permanent OAuth2 token. How can we configure that ?

    Any help is appreciated :)

Hi @Stefano Pucci. I reached out to our authorization gurus and found out:  "there is no way to have a permanent token. When the API returns a 401 response the token should be refreshed. You can take a look at the docs here: https://developer.mypurecloud.com/api/rest/authorization/."

I hope this helps. There's actually quite a bit of information on authorization in the Dev Center - https://developer.mypurecloud.com/forum/. This is a great spot to ask API-related questions.

    Have a lovely day!

Is there a way to extend the duration beyond the 48 hours?  say to 1 year?

    Hi Janice -

The maximum currently supported is 450 days (38,880,000 seconds)

    Cheers,
