    Hi Team,

     

    Is there any notification mechanism to notify whenever Edges are 'Out of Service' or 'Not Connected' by Email or any other form of notifications?

    There is currently no notification method for the Edge status. From within PureCloud, you can see the Edge state and cloud connectivity state, as shown here: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/confirm-and-set-edge-settings-for-enabling-calls/

    Thanks Jeff for your response! Is there any REST API can be used to get the status of Edge or their Network Interface Status (LAN 1 and LAN 2), so that we can able to build a monitor solution to check the status for every 5 mins.

    I am afraid I don't know much about API, but this may be a source of information for that https://developer.mypurecloud.com/ There is a forum there that might be able to help as well.

    To add a bit more...there is work in progress (much of it done) to create "A customer/support facing dashboard of live (non-historical) data for telephony admins to view edge and telephony-related statistics and metrics."

    Once that work is done, they will work on the notifications and alerts.

     

    For the API, take a look at https://developer.mypurecloud.com/api/rest/v2/telephonyprovidersedge/index.html#getTelephonyProvidersEdgesMetrics

     

    Through that API method you can query an edge (or edges) and use some logic to determine whether or not to send an alert (e.g. if uptimeMsec is below a specified value, presume the edge restarted and send an alert, etc.)

    There is an API for this. I just added it in our own dashboard. :)

    Tobias, is it a dashboard you created, or one you purchased from a partner?

     

    Maybe you could share a screenshot...I love to see what people are using in production.

    It's created by my colleague, Stian. The dashboard is not released yet since we are still in the making of it. But it works great and we're adding more features every day that could help our contact centers.

    When it comes to API's for Edge there are a lot of information available at: https://developer.mypurecloud.com/api/rest/v2/telephonyprovidersedge/index.html 

     

    We will probably add more details into the Edge page such as:

    - % CPU

    - % Disk

    - % Memory

    - Active calls

    - Restart button (if you have admin access)
