SSL Certificate for web service data action

  • 1.  SSL Certificate for web service data action

I trying setup Web Server (with Tomcat)  for web service data action. I known Genesys Cloud web service data action only support HTTPS.

So, Web Server need to install a certificate in Tomcat, what kind of certificate should I install?

Can I use the self-signed certificate generated by Open SSL? Or install a certificate issued by a public (or private) trusted certification authority?

    Hi Park Jong Seung,

You must install a publicly trusted certificate, rooted off one of the certificates trusted by the Mozilla trusted Certificate Authorities.  This is the same list used by Firefox, so any reputable certificate authority should be on the list:
    https://ccadb-public.secure.force.com/mozilla/IncludedCACertificateReport

Your Tomcat server will also need to support TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3.

I am entering a ticket for my team to update our requirements page with these requirements.

    Thanks, Jason Mathison!

Can you tell me how to request for a certification through Google Trust Services LLC?

I don't understand how to request even after looking in web site https://pki.goog.
