Probably a dumb question here, but with regards to email integration with Salesforce (and using the client integration/plugin), does Salesforce actually handle the SMTP/POP/IMAP type stuff and so an org would modify their domain mail/mx records to point to Salesforce? Wanting to try to picture the end-to-end flow for an email interaction.
Is there an integration where the org would use the built-in email send/receive functions within Genesys Cloud but still integrate to Salesforce? Guessing that would need some SDK work that I'm trying to avoid.
