    Hi 

    Wonder if someone can help answer a simple question, 

    we doing a phased migration from PureConnect to Genesys Cloud, however want to set up and license all users in Genesys Cloud, would the billing start from the license being applied to the user or only once they actually use the license (sign in)?

    Hi,

    As I understood, license billing start as soon as it has been entered by Genesys in the system even it is not used (assigned to a user).

    Hi Vick,

    Billing for users is based on usage. We only bill for users that login to Genesys Cloud. So you can safely create all the users you will be migrating, they don't count towards usage until they actually login. This goes for Communicate and Genesys Cloud 1, 2, or 3 license types.


    In Genesys Cloud, under Admin --> Subscription you can select Download Usage Report to see the billable users of previous months.
