As a side note, you don't have to create the External Contact. That's handy if you want to forward emails to the same people fairly often.
And, it's not really a Forward. You just change the
To: email address in the
Reply to whatever email you want to send it on to, so it's really replying to someone other than the original sender.
If you want to include the attachments and inline images, you have to download them and re-attach or add them back in.
