    Hello,

I hope everyone is doing well!

I'm a junior developer and haven't had much training yet so please excuse me if I don't make any sense, I apologize in advance. I've been asked to research an API or a code to export everything from a particular PureCloud organization. The client company had asked us to take over so we would like to export all information and import it on our own PureCloud. The thing is, I have no idea where to even start. Right now, my colleagues and I are doing is manually (downloading excel sheets, audios, screenshotting each page and re-entering it, etc) and we are looking for a way to have a command that could save us time and potentially do it in bulk.

So far my colleagues has suggested to look into the following links:

I'm a bit lost but if anyone has ideas on how we could approach this that would be great! Thank you.

    Hi Dianne,

This particular forum is dedicated to the PureConnect platform. I suggest posting your question over on the Genesys Cloud CX forum where you are more likely to get a response.

The short answer is that 99% of what you require could be done by writing a custom application using the API - I recommend attending the API class from Beyond for further information.

    Hi Paul,

Thank you for your response and advice! So sorry about that, I was not sure where to post it at first so I really appreciate your suggestions.

    Have a great day!

    Hi @Dianne Gabriel,

I would recommend using Postman with Genesys Cloud to generate the requested data - https://developer.genesys.cloud/api/rest/postman/ . You may not even need to know the Genesys Cloud API structure since you can just setup authorization for your Postman client (https://developer.genesys.cloud/api/rest/postman/#enable-authorization), import the Postman collections provided by Genesys (https://developer.genesys.cloud/api/rest/postman/#import-the-genesys-cloud-api-collection) and generate the requested data.

There is also a video explaining how to make API calls to Genesys Cloud using Postman - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtFGNkRlfcA

    Thank you,
    Ben

    Hello Benyamin,

Thank you so much for your response! Will definitely look into it. I started doing API calls using the Javascript documentation Genesys has but I would like to give it a shot with Postman.

Once again, really appreciate it! Thank you and have a great day!

    Dianne,

Just be aware that Postman is a tool designed to allow you to explore and troubleshoot API calls (in much the same way as the API explorer.) It will allow you to test the calls out, but won't really give you a solution in itself.

    Hi Dianne,

You can start from here https://developer.genesys.cloud/developer-tools/#/api-explorer

Also, Noralogix Repo361 have API for CSV RawData to extract org data https://github.com/Noralogix/repo361-genesyscloud
