Hi All -
I was curious about the app setup for other Genesys customers. We deploy the desktop app (thick client) to all of our Windows machines, but are contemplating moving over to the Web app. We have had some issues with the desktop app refreshing occasionally when making a lot of outbound calls and we're hoping that the Web version might be a better fit for us. Also, if we use the web app, we don't have to coordinate a rollout when a new desktop app is released; we've experienced some issues if users do not refresh after Desktop Central (our mass deployment software) installs the new version on the computer. But, if we use the web app, then there is always the risk of someone accidentally closing their browser and disconnecting their phone.
Has anyone else debated switching from the desktop app to the web app (or vice versa?) I'd be interested to hear about your experience.
