  • 1.  Automatic Edge Software updates

    Hi All,

    One concern appears after the final customer has moved to a 7 days a week  "non stop operation" on its Contact Center.

    The four Edge Servers are assigned to one Site, and in one Edge Group.

    The automatic updates are configured with the following parameters:

    Recurrence Type: Weekly
    Time Zone: America/Buenos Aires (-03:00)
    Day: Sunday
    Time Range
    Start Time: 2:00 AM; End Time: 5:00 AM

    How will the update will be performed in the four Edge Mini Servers installed at this site?

    Is there any sequence for this update on the servers or will it be triggered for all of them at the scheduled window time. Not really clear if there will be any impact on the Contact Center operation.

    Thanks again for your thoughts and may be for your comments if you have already faced the same situation and experienced how the Edge servers update is performed.

    PureCloud automatically staggers the updates for the edges in the Site so that only one is updating at a time.
