Hello,

My customer will try to use PureCloud, but they worry about their companie's security.
I explain to customer about open FW/Ports on their network,however, customer want to know
why they need to allow access to New Relic analytics services.

I know following page say about it, but there is no describes what type of data
client side send to New Relic.

Does anyone know it?

Not sure if that answers your question, but New Relic is a third-party reporting service (more about it can be found at https://newrelic.com/ and https://docs.newrelic.com) that Genesys Cloud can send information to.

If the customer doesn't have New Relic, I assume the ports used by New Relic only don't need to be opened...

I tested PureCloud without allowing domain newlelic services using proxy server. I could use it.
However, I know if closing this domain has a risk for customer. I will talk to customer.

HI Araki

Have you hit any issues by not opening those New Relic ports?  Seems frustrating that Genesys includes those on the list of ports for network firewalls to be opened.  It only says it's a third party but doesn't say it's optional.  I wonder why they've had to specifically list New Relic and not any of the other third party sites that may need to be accessed.

How did you use the Proxy server & what was the scenario ?
