    Posted 10-14-2020 12:36

    Hi Genesys Support,

    We have created a chatbot and collecting user information in some variables.

    For example we created a doctor appointment chatbot and based on the user conversation with the bot below is the information we have:

    Flow.Date = 10/23/2020 (Date of the appointment)

    Flow.Time = 13:00 (Time of the appointment)

    Flow.Doctor = Orthopedic (Doctor specialization)

    Flow.Location = Dallas (Location of the appointment)

    Now we want to update the data tables using the information collected so that it can be used for reporting purposes and also in case the customer want to cancel the appointment the bot can help them cancel it, but so far we could not figure out a way to update the data tables.

    Can You please help us with this issue.

    Before you continue, notice that data tables have a limit for the number of rows.  Are you planning on clearing them out regularly?

    Write a data action to do it.  I'm attaching a simple example that updates a row to a data table that only has 2 fields, key & aDecimalValue.  I use an input variable for the data table id but you can probably hard code that.
