Voicebots with Google Dialogflow

    Hi,all

    We try to use PureCloud's Voicebots.

    And We have two questions.

    1.How we know about Voicebot's function list?

      Is there any Reference?

    2.Our language is Japanese.But our develop platform is on America(US-East).

       We tried to make flow on Architect which incloude Dialogflow.

     And we faced on problem of below 2-2's Picture.

    Description says 「No Available text to speech engines support this language」
    And we tried to call but we can't connect Dialogflow's senario of Japanese
    ※ we can use English Senario.
    We think we have to request. So we are investigating

    Hi Michiko,

    This may be down to how the language is configured on both platforms


    When you use English US in Architect you must ensure you have an agent configured with en-US language and not just 'en' (see image above).

    Same will go with Japanese. Do you have that language configured on your Agent in Dialogflow?

    Thanks for your reply.

    • As you said,we use English US in Architect ,and we have intents with both en-US and Japanese language in Dialogflow. We find that intents with en-US are work but Japanese are not ,even we add the Japanese language in our Architect which default language is English. Is there some approach, if we want to make Japanese supported in our current Architect? 
    • If you have more information about use Dialogflow in Purecloud, please let me know.

    Hi,

    I've only used English in GB and US with DialogFlow and not tried any other language. I would think this might be because of the language code "jp" instead of "jp-JP" as I mentioned in my previous message.

    As DialogFlow is still in Beta you would need to report this via whomever enabled it for your PureCloud Org. This should ensure the feedback gets to the appropriate product team.

    Did you find any solution to resolve problem with jp language in speech recognition and finally start using Dialogflow Integration in another language than EN?

    Hi Dawid,

    Now that DialogFlow is GA for voice, this should be working.
    I tried recently with Dutch, which in Genesys Cloud is nl-NL and DialogFlow is just NL and had no problems with it.

    Hi Craig, 

    Thank you for your answer, 

    My problem is that that Genesys enginge responsible for a Speech Recognition in Architect doesn't support PL language, so Dialogflow ( here PL language is supported )  receive nonsense data like below:


    Is there any way to change speech recognition enginge maybe to Google STT, to start using this new integration?

    Hi Dawid,

    Currently the integration only supports the TTS/STT languages available to Architect through the Genesys engine. This means there is no support for Polish at the moment.

    I think this would be worth adding to the Ideas lab to gather some votes.

    Hi Dawid,

    We do support all the Dialogflow languages. We send all audio to Dialogflow and Dialogflow implicitly uses Google STT behind the scenes so Genesys ASR support doesn't come into it. I have used Polish myself but there is no reason it shouldn't work.

    You need to make sure that the languages used in Architect match those in Dialogflow, so a Call Flow running in English will tell Dialogflow that the conversation is in English and all STT will happen in English. If the caller is speaking Polish or Japanese then the transcriptions will not be correct.

    Hi Rebecca,  Thank you for your response :) 2 years ago when I started that topic Genesys didn't support PL language and I had few problems with integration with Dialogflow , right now everything works nice

    but I really appreciate you writing back :D

    Also, note that Japanese support in Architect is a special case. You have to contact Customer Care to get it enabled:

    • Due to language model size, when Japanese is enabled PureCloud currently allows English as the only other language in the org. To request Japanese language support for your organization, please contact PureCloud Customer Care.

    Hi all!! @Rebecca Owens , @George Ganahl   do you know if galician could be supported for speech recognition? 

    we would like to have an Architect flow with two supported languages:,

    1) es-es using Dialog Engine bot flow

    2) es-gl (galician) using Google DialogFlow CX addon 

    we tried multiple times, changing different things, but the logs Genesys Care provide us are always the same:

    Hello David, 

    Sorry for the delay in response. 

    Looking at the supported languages in Genesys Cloud it looks like galician is not currently supported. Please see this Doc for all supported languages. This would have to go through the Ideas portal for now. Which I see you have submitted the idea. I have went ahead and voted for it as well! 

    I will be closing this thread as its old and any new conversations should be started on a new thread.
