  • 1.  Change user status to Out-of-Office

    From what I can tell, the only way to force a user to Out-of-Office who forgot to set it or if it was unplanned, is to change their password and log on as the user.

    Has anyone found another way to handle this situation or heard of this being on the roadmap? I don't see it on the ideas lab and have not created a new idea yet, because I wanted to check here first.

    Please let me know your thoughts.

    There is an API call to Update an OutOfOffice for a userID

    /api/v2/users/{userId}/outofoffice

    Hopefully that would work. It is in the API Explorer under the Outofoffice section.

    I searched and somehow did not see that.

    I'm going to try it out and see how it goes. If I can get it working, I'll build them a simple UI to configure it.

    Also, I searched "status" and "presence" and finally thought to search for "office" which is what finally brought it up. Not entirely intuitive, since I would have thought it would be under Presence.
