  • 1.  Outbound SIP Servers SRV

    Hi,

I am trying to use DNS SRV in the Outbound SIP servers, so that Genesys use it for outgoing requests towards our SBCs. Unfortunately, I am unable to make this work. We use TLS and created the SRV using the format sips._tcp.<FQDN>. In the Outbound SIP servers configuration, I added the SRV by simply adding the FQDN without a port number.

The interop specification states that outbound SRV is supported, but I can not find the configuration steps to make it work. I am wondering if the format I used to create the SRV is correct? Or is there something else I am missing? DNS A records are working fine.

    Thanks!

Is there any reason you are using _sips instead of _sip for the SRV record?  If you are using TLS, then I think the _sips will work after the initiation of the protocol.

I am using the SRV format based on RFC 3263, defining SRV for SIP TLS. I tried UDP,  _sip._udp, and this is working fine.
If the SRV is in the wrong format for TLS, then I wonder what the correct one is? I also tried _sip._tls which is common, but without success either.
