Correct. You still own and control the numbers if you wanted to port them to another carrier in the future, but Genesys manages how they ring in and the route going out along with the STIR/SHAKEN stuff. Only ported and purchased numbers appear in Number Management

Thanks for that explanation, Robert. For clarification, while the ported numbers may ride on underlying carriers, they'd still be considered Genesys managed, correct? Also, would there ever be a situation where a number that hasn't been ported to Genesys would display under number management?

Once numbers are ported, the will all show under number management as Genesys numbers. Now, these might ride on different underlying carriers once Genesys ports them in. There are sites that can tell you which carrier is assigned to handle the number but Genesys has the ability to change this as well if the carrier has issues.

Hi All,
Is there a way to tell which numbers in the DID list/range are Genesys provided numbers and which are provided by another carrier? I know there is a service provider column in the DID range page that is meant to be updated for this reason but assuming that maintenance has fallen behind, is there another way to identify ported vs routed numbers?
