There are a couple of ways to get a sense of an article in the knowledge base without having to actually click into it.
One is the letter count seen on the main display for articles. This simple means how many characters are found within that article.
The second way to preview is to simply scroll over an entry. This will provide a snippet of the article that can be read. The snippet might be the entire article, if it's a shorter entry, or may cut off for longer entries at which point one would have to click to read the full article.
