Hi Since quite a few months we are not able to send faxes trough our Interaction Fax. I opened a few ticket with Interactive and with our Telco and no one can find out why its not working. When I try to send faxes I sometimes get this error; Severity: Error Event Message ID: 2037 Event Message: "Send Fax failed with Dialogic Error 107. Description: No response after sending page Here is also a call log ; 02/19/10 11:11:01: Fax Queued for Send 02/19/10 11:11:11: Sending Fax to ### ### #### On Fax Station FaxDevice_65_4 with callid 1001003444 02/19/10 11:11:23: Transmission has begun on Port 19 to Fax at 14400bps Quality=0, Strength=0, Noise=0 02/19/10 11:11:42: Protocol error while communicating with remote 02/19/10 11:11:42: No response after sending page 02/19/10 11:11:42: Transmission has returned an error on Port 19, 0 pages in 31 seconds Cause: Protocol error while communicating with remote Driver Error=No response after sending page 02/19/10 11:12:23: Sending Fax to ### ### #### On Fax Station FaxDevice_65_4 with callid 1001003683 02/19/10 11:12:35: Transmission has begun on Port 19 to Fax at 9600bps Quality=0, Strength=0, Noise=0 02/19/10 11:12:57: Protocol error while communicating with remote 02/19/10 11:12:57: No response after sending page 02/19/10 11:12:57: Transmission has returned an error on Port 19, 0 pages in 34 seconds Cause: Protocol error while communicating with remote Driver Error=No response after sending page I also noticed that the CIC server seem to be disconnecting the call at the wile the Interaction Fax is transmitting the pages ?! (In supervisor- I can see the call being disconnected and looking at the Interaction Fax monitor it is still in a transmit state) Interactive say that there is Echo on our lines and to verify with our Telco. Our Telco say that there is no echo on our lines and to verify with Interactive. So, I'm on my own... We are running on ; CIC 2.4 SU 38 HMP 3.0 SU 248 Gateway used; Gen2 2.0 SU20 Did anyone ever had this issue ? Please help. Thanks Athena

If Interactive Intelligence support and your carrier contradict each other, then chances are, one of them is incorrect. I'm assuming that I3 support is telling you this after examining a packet capture? If so, and they can show you evidence from the packet capture/diagnostic capture indicating echo, that's pretty solid evidence to give to the carrier. However, you'll also want to check out your internal network infrastructure. Since this is 2.4, QoS is not enabled in IC by default, so you'll want to check the SIP line configuration and verify that the QoS byte is set to B8 (default is A0). Also make sure that switches are configured to trust those settings and that priority is given to voice traffic throughout entire path (that you have control over). If you don't already have them, ask I3 support for their QoS and network recommendation documents.
