Try https://localhost or https://localhost:442 (or maybe :446....I get mixed up between Proxy and MS)

    Hi! I have problems. I installed MediaServer_2016_R4 but I can't see the web interface... ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED. I tried: https://localhost https://localhost:442 https://localhost:446 https://localhost:443 https://mediaserverName.mydomain:443 https://IP:443 http://mediaserverName.mydomain:8084 http://localhost:8084 http://IP:8084 Thanks, Lux

Look in the registry. If I remember correctly, the path is HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Interactive Intelligence\MediaServer There should be a key value for the port that is needed.

Also, just to be sure MediaServer is actually running, check its status in the Services applet in Windows. I just checked my own 2016 R4 media server and it is on port 443. So, for example, I access it via https://ms1-geo You will get the certificate error when browsing to the media server, since it is a self-signed certificate, and you have to choose to access the site in spite of the "invalid certificate". Registry key for the WebConfigServerPort entry is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Interactive Intelligence\MediaServer for 2016 R4 The other possibility would possibly be that HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Interactive Intelligence\MediaServer\WebConfigServerAccessRestrict somehow got set to 1 instead of 0, so check that as well.

I checked all the parameters that you mentioned and they are ok but I chacked also "SERVICES" and I saw that "ININ Media Server" isn't running and if I try to start it a pop window aprrears "Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly". I also checked the log and it has "ServiceImpl::svc() : Failed to initialize configuration manager. Error: Win32 API function call failed: RegOpenKeyEx - key:SOFTWARE\Interactive Intelligence\MediaServer samDesired:131103: error (5 - Access is denied.) [d:\builds\eic_2016r4_p00\products\common\src\I3BaseLib\RegistryKey.cpp:88]" I don't know what to do.... Thanks, Lux

It sounds like you did not install MediaServer to run as a Local System Account (check the Log On settings for the service), or something has messed up the local service account's ability to access the registry.

Well, I didn't find a solution, so I decided to run the patch that it was missing in the installation and it worked!!! The Media Server doesn't have errors... Thanks, Lux
