    Good Moning Community:

    We have this question: if a Contact Center want to install a Linux desktop distribution (like Ubuntu Desktop) in Agents Stations, CIC PureConnect supports Zoiper or another Sip Softphone for inbound and outbound (Interaction Dialer) which can be install in these linux machines?

    Assuming the user is logging into Interaction Connect (web client, since there isn't a Linux client install for PureConnect), any SIP standard soft phone should work. Each will have its own strengths and features.

    In PureConnect, a non-managed SIP station would be created in the Stations container and the SIP soft phone on the workstation would be configured to register as that station. Then the user would enter that station name when logging into Interaction Connect.

    Make sure the selected SIP soft phone has an auto-answer capability to enable the user to pickup calls in iConnect and have the SIP soft phone automatically connect. Without auto-answer, the user will have to pickup the call in iConnect and then answer the call in the SIP soft phone.

    Hello William,



    If your concern is autoanswer then you can use ekiga softphone , supports  g711alaw/ulaw but doesn't support g729.
    and also Ubuntu 14.0.4 supports xlite3.0

    Hello,

    How exactly should I configure the SIP Client on Zoiper? I have a sip phone configured on the Edge side, according to Pure Cloud Resource Center (https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/configure-generic-sip-phone/) and no clue how to fill the profile on the Zoiper side. Specifically the credentials (user/password) since the template does not seem to include this information.
