Exporting the Users container to .csv or .xlsx

  • 1.  Exporting the Users container to .csv or .xlsx

    Posted 05-24-2021 22:35
    Hi Everyone,

Is there any way to export the 'Users' container in Interaction Administartor  to an .csv or .xlsx file?

I could only see an export for the whole IA, which gives 'IAExport.csv'.

    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Dear Renjith,

The only way that you can export the user from IA is using DSEditU and get them into .xml file then you can convert into .xls if it still stays the same and Genesys didn't provide alternative method.

    Thanks

    Renjith,

There is a relatively unknown, yet really easy, way to do this from Int Admin.  Click File-Print.  This opens a dialog that allows you to "print" a user or station directory.  You can select options you want to include with each user, like the user name, first name, last name, and some other bits of data.  To export to .csv, click save as.

    Enjoy,

Thanks Donald. That worked like a charm.

Yes, this is an unknown way. Even Genesys customer support isn't aware of this method.

Is there any similar way for getting the Interaction Attendant call profiles into an excel or text or pdf?

I export DS and i built a bunch of style sheets to parse out what I want.
Its uses IE and active X and then you can copy it out to Excel as it lays it out in a table.

If your interested i call it IAHTML and could share it all with you its about 30 files in total.

    I attched the IA_HTML_clean.zip.

There is a quick read me but basically just export full DS.

Rename it root.xml and drop it in the XML folder

Then run the webpage in IE.

Read me goes over what to edit for multiple XML file loads.

There maybe some fields that are useless to you but you can always edit those pages.

EXAMPLE: User page will load with a column called last login.  Well that is not standard data its a custom attribute i populate in IA that captures last login time.

Also things like on the user page only shows the first role and wg they are assigned to it does not loop through the xml for all of them.

But each page is an xsl style sheet you can modify to your needs.

    Hi Ryan,

It doesn't read the exported xml file (renamed as root)

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks,

are you using Internet explorer? and allowing active X controls?
root.xml is in the XML folder?

what do you see when you first launch IE?

    Hi Ryan,

Yes, I am using IE allowing active X controls. Yes, root.xml is in the XML folder.

I can see the below options when I lauch Index.htm, but on clicking them, it's not responding.

    Am I doing anything wrong?

    Thanks

try clicking on general tab then click root then go to other pages.

but it should load the general page with a link to all the XML's in this case just root and a note:  Make a DSEDITU export of the root, place the file in the XML directory, and add entry to the XSL\General.xsl file

you didn't click recover webpage at all or that will break it or have some software blocking active X maybe?
