  • 1.  Sip Soft Phone & OKTA

Hello - we intend to migrate to okto for the SSO.  With Interaction Desktop, no problem.  But we have no solution for the Sip Soft Phone which still requires an authentification with the AD.
Do you experience the same ?  Is there a solution ?
    Thanks for any support

How have you got your SoftPhones set up?

Unless you are initially provisioning the phone, you shouldn't need any authentication for the Softphone.

Thanks Paul -  We are using ININ Soft Phones.  At initial startup in the user profile the softphone needs to download it's certificates and provision parameters and that's done via an authenticated webrequest on CIC:8089.

That authentication is either using IC creds or AD creds linked to running user.  Afterwards, once all these parameters are in the profile, I believe it indeed goes without authentication as the sip auth parameters have been downloaded.

It's the first authentication that makes it a problem for us.  Our users tend to switch computers quite often as they use share stations resulting in new user profiles.  We also have external user which we are trying to sell an easy authentication solution, but in the end, the first touch will be a more complicated impression.  To download the provision file we either need to give their IC user creds or a service IC user creds.
