We recently upgraded to CIC 2019R2 P7, and now want to upgrade our IWT on our web server also.
I do not see the steps to do so outlined in the Installation & Configuration Guide.

Is this just a matter of overwriting the previous folders, with the 3 new folders taken from the IC server:
     > IWT_Configuration-18-X
     > IWT_Examples-18-X
     > IWT_I3Root-18-X

Extracting the IWT_I3Root-19-7 files to I3Root?
    And re-running the config file?

    Thanks,
    Marian

You can get the technical reference document by doing a google search for "genesys interaction web tools", should be the third option that is returned (or grab the pdf I uploaded).  Also, you can upgrade the Interaction Web Tools to the latest release, it does not need to be on the same release as your PureConnect servers (opened a ticket with support to find that out).

    Thanks,
    Andrew

Hi Andrew, thanks for the info. I had read the TR Guide, but I don't see where it discusses upgrading of IWT? It discusses only new installs from what I can see.

We just got the most recent iso and ran the installation, it overwrites the existing files.  From my understanding, not a true upgrade but more of a re-install over the existing application.

    Thanks,
    Andrew

So my understanding is that...if I copy those 3 folders from my IC installation to my web server and carry out the steps - as if I was installing it new - it is an overwrite of the existing application on the web server.

Therefore overwriting any customizations or changes that had been maintained on the previous version?

And I have to re-run the config.js file, etc?
