  • 1.  handlers; get the IP address of the station making an outbound call

    Hi,

We would like to create a handler to set the outbound ANI when dialing 911 according to the subnet in which the phone is. We would have a mapping between subnets and ELINs. Is it possible to get the IP address of the station originating a call?

Do I need to use the Get DS Attr tool and lookup the phone IP?

    Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can get the Raw LocalTN address of the phone originating the call. This will give you a URI SIP address. There's also a system subroutine already available that parses a SIP address, which will give you the IP address, amongst other things.

HTH otherwise ping me and I can direct you further.
