At present, I am working with the chat widget extension. Can anyone help me with how to use and implement chat widget extensions? I am just trying to test the basic chat widget extension code but I got an error.
can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

ERROR :  Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'widgets' of undefined
    at  !window._genesys.widgets.extensions.

Can you post a link to the documentation you are using?

    Hi,

At the top of that page, it indicates that the documentation refers to PureEngage Cloud product. This forum is for the PureConnect product ;-)

I suggest re-posting your question on the PureEngage forum.

    Paul,

All of the widgets documentation is still only under PureEngage despite some of it (Web Chat, Callback, Call Us, Offers, Sidebar, Chatbots, and WebIVR) being compatible with PureConnect starting in the 2019 releases.

    Hey Everyone,

There has been some confusion on this post in general. The truth is that the Chat Widget Extension can be used on PureConnect and PureEngage so there's a bit of an overlap and PureConnect will be releasing some new documentation on this later in August. So I'm going to leave this thread in the PureConnect community. I know some users are excited to talk about it!

@M A Feroz, if you are using the PureEngage product line (You can always check by logging into know.genesys.com) feel free to repost this there if you still have questions.

    Cheers!

    Hello Matt,

We are desesperatly looking for more documentation for a "PureConnect" usage of the widgets.

Can you check with your teams that the documentation will include :
    - more information on layout and visual aspect (css style)
    - details on passing parameters to bot and retrieving bot parameters on exiting from bot

    Thank you for your help.

    Hey @Lionel Florence,

Thanks for the message. I have a few suggestions for you:

    • The Genesys Knowledge Network has federated search, so after you sign in or navigate to your product's section, you can perform a federated search across multiple online resources.
    • The PureConnect Resource Center should be included in your federated search results. Their articles like this one on CSS has the option to leave feedback, it's a great way to request additional information.
    • Additionally, if you have a specific question, you can always post in the community and hopefully one of our members may be able to help you out.

    Hope that helps,

    Matt
