Hello all. I have an upcoming project where I will need to develop a custom add in for Interaction Desktop and Interaction Connect to allow an agent to enter in some information before transferring the call to a 3rd party system. Can anyone point me to documentation that will help me get started?

Hi Sean,

For your Interaction Desktop integrations, I would advise attending the ICELib training from GU. This covers both how to add functionality to Interaction Desktop and also how to add PureConnect functionality to your own desktop application. (Some folks prefer to have the 3rd party app to be the "master" and allow the agent to manage interactions from within it.)

For Interaction Connect you are looking at ICWS. Unfortunately, this is not currently available as a class from GU (although, by all means send an e-mail to education@genesys.com to enquire when and if one will be released.) In the meantime, I would recommend looking at the documentation available on the Developer Portal.

Just be aware that developping Addins in InteractionConnect is not available for old versions of PureConnect. You need to be in 2018R3/R4 at least. Before a lots of features are not working properly.
