  • 1.  SIP Soft Phone - Provision Ports

    Posted 02-17-2021 06:39
    Hello,

I would like to change the provision ports used for SIP Soft Phone (8088, 8089) to another ports without using Interaction SIP Bridge.
    Any Suggestions ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Mohamed,

Can you provide a use case for this? As far as I know you can't change port on which the provision service listens to.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Dieter,

First of all, thank you for your contribution.

One of our customer is using an application called (SPlunk), this app is using 8089 over all the network devices.
Business is not accepting any changes in Splunk ports for their own Security purposes.

So, the only available option is to change SSP provision port to another port.

I also tried to add a new parameter in the server parameters called SspHttpsDisable = Yes, it suppose to force the provision to 8088 (HTTP) but no joy.

I ran into this with SPLUNK once also.

There is an undocumented server parameter:    SspHttpsDisable

set the Value to 'yes' and it will only use Port 8088.  It does require a restart of provision server to take affect.

I have the SCR for this documented as:  IC-107651

    Hi Ryan,

I tried the server parameter:    SspHttpsDisable, however it still failing to provision.
I trying ICServerName:8088 or ICServerIP:8088 and its failing.

When I'm trying to provision using only ICServerName or ICServerIP it works, however the logs shows port 8089 not 8088.

Did you restart Provision server subsystem on both primary and back up servers?

I do recall having an issue once and did have to do a full server reboot but.. I also have had it work with just restarting provisioning subsystem on both servers.

    Hi Ryan,

Actually yes, I tried both, with and without restart. I also used it on a standalone test-enviroment server with no joy.
