You can put the Avaya users in a SQL table and create a custom directory that users can make visible in their clients. That's a simple cost effective solution I used for off-system based users on legacy pix systems.

So if you are using managed phones and depending on the manufacturer (Poly or Audiocodes) you can integrate the corporate directory function to your LDAP directory and select someone and dial their number using the interface. I would assume that the Avaya phones have a similar capability but obviously can't comment on that. Good luck!

Would suggest integrating both into Active Directory or an LDAP of your choice. Curious if you are using physical phones or soft phones as that may influence the decision/functionality.

We are just moving to Genesys for our contact center and the remainder of my company will stay on the Avaya IP office system. Both Genesys and Avaya do not allow for dial by name directory unless the user has an account that particular system. I am looking for recommendations for a 3rd party solution.
