Interaction Administrator export to CSV file explanation

  • 1.  Interaction Administrator export to CSV file explanation

within IA we are able to export data to a "IAexport.CSV" file.  This consists of all config dump.
Has anyone pulled this CSV file and created interesting reports via MS.Access?
looking to learn what others have done with this raw data.
    Thank you

I use DS export and build a tool to parse out what i want for reporting.
And then use powershell to pull license info from the registry for license allocation reports.

I hardly ever use the CSV export from IA, DS will give you the same info and more. And the XML tags are easier to work with parsing and finding data.

I second Ryan's comments. I usually write a handler to pull out the stuff I need from DS and then format it into a CSV. From here you can import the CSV into whatever you want. I think you can get to a lot of the configuration from ICWS as well but I don't have much experience with this.

    Thanks,

I have used that info to find out what workgroups our agents are in--that can be done via the backend dB too.  I also use that dump to find out what skills all of our agents have what proficiency we have them set to.  I'm pretty sure that info is NOT in the dB. I have also used that info to find all of our DNIS numbers in Attendant and to tie them back to a profile.  Prior to that, the only way we could find a DNIS was to go and look at EACH Attendant profile to find where a DNIS was attached. I'm sure that info could also be used to diagram out each node of all of your attendant profiles...Another task that I had to do manually at one point.

I use DS and have an attendant view for parsing.
But i also just built a bot that you plug a number into and it will basically map out its call flow at a high level for the IT support techs to be able to easily have some info on hand.

interesting.  I looked int he IAExport.csv but I could not find DID.
My understanding is that the DIDs are in Attendant.  How are you linking the IA: File -- Export --csv file to Attendant?
    Thank you

I personally don't care for the format of the data in the export, I use the following queries from the SQL DB to get most of that information. Depending on what information you actually need there may be other tables or views that you need but these will give you a lot of current and historical data.

    [EIACL_CurrentLicenses]
    [EIACL_HistoricalSkills]
    [IAAttributeLog_viw]
    [EnhancedIAChangeLog]
    [IAAttributeLog]
    [UserWorkgroups]

Thank you everyone for your reply! greatly appreciated.
Most of you have indicated "DS Export"....what is that forgive me I am new to this and will be taking my ICCS exam in new weeks.

Is DS part of pureconnect or is that an external tool.
    Please advise.

DsEditu.exe is the executable you can run it on the server only.

    Vathsan,

Firstly, "DS" stands for "Directory Services" and refers to the subsystem that accesses the data store of configuration information which is hosted in the server's registry. Utilities like "DSEdit" are advanced tools that our engineers typically use when troubleshooting.

Secondly, regarding the ICCS, tools such as this are far beyond the scope of the certification and you should not be asked about them on the exam.
