Hi All

Does anyone know if you can handle Genesys live chats in Salesforce via the widget as I call it, the phone pop up in SF? Also interested if WhatsApp will work in the same manner, as in use a chat window like when doing live chat.

The Genesys Cloud Resource Center has some pretty thorough docs on the Genesys Salesforce integration: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/about-genesys-cloud-for-salesforce/

If you scroll down on that page you'll find a section called "Supported Genesys Cloud interaction types".  You'll see that Chats (Live Chat) and Messages (Whatsapp) are supported.  If you click on the Chats and Messages links there are further details about each media type and how agents work with those interactions.

   OneView for Salesforce has a widget like experience right within Salesforce.  You can embed Genesys channels right within lightning pages (like cases, accounts, contacts), so the agent has a unified view of the interaction without having to use the CTI panel or separate windows.  OneView can be found on the AppFoundry and can be purchased right from Genesys.  If you are interested you can watch a quick presentation / demo.
