Insert Work set changed ?

    Hi,

Just recently upgraded to 8.5.214.20 and realize that there is a change in how Insert Work Set works.

Previously we got an unpaid break when there was some time between the shift planned and the overtime entered with Insert Work Set. Now we get an unnamed exception. Can this be configured somehow ?

Hope to hear from someone :-)

    Hi Mikael,

    Hope you are well.

Yes, the Server v8.5.216.02 released 28 Feb 2020 had this:

    • When processing overtime requests, WFM now uses a generic unpaid Exception instead of a generic unpaid break to cover gaps between shifts and overtime when overtime is inserted outside of the shift start/end times, thereby preventing the need to configure different shifts for every gap. (WFM-32766)
So this is how it works now when adding overtime to cover a break in overtime outside the shift.

There was another Server release v8.5.217.01 that resolved another issue that mey help your query:

Unpaid breaks and meals now can be moved when rescheduling the shift to accommodate overtime, unless the overtime partially overlaps the meal-in that case, WFM           does not move it. Previously, unpaid meals and breaks remained fixed when scheduling overtime, which sometimes caused WFM to deny the overtime. (WFM-33300)

    Hope that helps
